South Korean police have arrested a group of suspected Chinese crypto thieves accused of stealing approximately $580,000 worth of cryptocurrency from a guest at a luxury hotel. The Jeju West Police Station arrested six individuals on charges of 'special robbery.' The gang is believed to have collaborated with a Chinese national who operates as an unofficial 'crypto and fiat currency exchanger.' The exchanger agreed to sell the group an undisclosed amount of cryptocurrency for over $690,000 in cash as part of an over-the-counter trade. The group reportedly provided the exchanger with cash, leading to their arrest at the airport.
